Who We Are
Boxed Up Events is an Oxfordshire based company, initially, the kitchen table project of two determined mums with a strong background in marketing, PR and events management. We took some time out to raise our families, but it turns out that they have been helping us grow. Once successful, organized, creative and well networked professional women we have become the ultimate multi-taskers, risk assessors and financial planners. For a while out network may have carried less business cards but we soon found out PTA are more connected than the mafia. Our children have reawakened a sense of fun and imagination in us. We are more creative and positive than ever before and firmly believe that our new enthusiasm and experience help us make truly memorable events very achievable on every budget.
We set out Boxed Up Events as a way to help busy families like ours save time and money on their special occasions. We recognized that what we did successfully with our own families and PTA could be done for others and we would all benefit from the savings of scaling up and sharing. We realized we were really quite brilliant at making things happen and that those dynamic ladies who used to wear heels and sharp suits were no less talented in jeans and converse - just a lot more fun, inventive and determined to get the job done before school let out. We thought that if we played to our strengths, did the hard work and research then our clients would not have to and it worked with parents returning to us after successful parties and using us again.
Parties are not just for kids and like them we have grown. Baby showers, hen parties, Aunties 80th, graduations and weddings we have it covered. It is not just family events either, we cut our teeth in the office and boardroom and have found our way back to where we began. From product launches and PR events to team building and staff reward days we have been bringing a refreshing element of fun to an increasing number of corporate clients. We have Morris Danced by the river on the Solstice with some very distinguished international research scientists, introduced American guests to Welly wanging and cream teas at a bespoke village fete, and transported bus loads of delegates to a secluded venue on the Ridgeway for an out of office conference they are sure to remember and look forward to becoming an annual event.
When we started out we aimed to support other busy families doing what we loved while working hours that fitted with our own childrens needs. We now support busy companies producing exemplary events without causing break downs amongst the PAs or overstretching in house events teams. We support local and charity contractors where we can and the relationships we have built with emerging talented entertainers, enthusiastic foodie caterers and eco friendly suppliers make us ideally placed to create great value, seamless events with a little something special and unique. Whether you just need a little nudge in the right direction and a quick consultation to get your event going or you want us to create a bespoke event and deliver it on the day we are happy to talk and find the solutions right for you.
Looking ahead, some of our events have been so memorable we would like to do them again and share them with others so over the coming months we are taking a leap and will be bringing some pop up events to some unexpected locations throughout Oxfordshire. We are really excited to be working with some amazing venues and privileged to introduce some of our wonderful friends, actors, musicians, chefs, and artists (as well as sheep) to a wider audience. We love a new project so if you are a new venture, passionate about what you do and looking to find your niche or a busy client needing some help creating a special occasion or streamlining and important event no matter the scale then get in touch, we would love to hear from you.
